Usually file reading and decoding is done at a lower priority. Only playback is done at high priority, and doesn't need much CPU at all.
would pretty much cause the whole sys to grind to a halt if something goes wrong in some media-related task.
You can use the "unreal" command in KDL to debug those, regards Marcus
