Do decorators *need* to be there? Nah. That doesn't make them worthless. One of the reasons I implemented them was to follow the "just like R5" idea. They're also fun, which I think I mentioned before. They also represent what I think is a decent compromise between the skinning crowd and the minimalist crowd -- a good amount of tweakability when coupled with the system colors and fonts.
I don't see the harm in shipping with them. The default look is *so* much better than either of them and Haiku already has an established look. I doubt that they'd have any effect. At the same time, I can see why they could be left out if we're concerned about space or something.
