It allows to check that the decorator API is still working. They were not in the image for some time and they got very out of sync with other parts of the code, so I had to spend time bringing them back to life again. Since Clemens is doing changes to this API again, I'd rather make sure things don't break again. And apparently the only way to make sure is to make BOM slap the breakers :) Once the API is frozen, it will be fine to remove them and make an optional package (without having to update it every other day).
