I agree.  Blindness is just one single attribute of an individual, and other
factors need to be taken into account.  Accessibility, as a measure of
whether someone can access something, perform and interaction, etc., can be
equally applied to every being on this planet.  So, by saying that some
people running older operating systems should not have their accessibility
needs taken into account, which is what I infered from Darrell's message, it
could be considered advocating for social exclusion of a particular grouping
of society.  It might be fair, as people have the opportunity to gain better
technology, it might not, as they may not have this opportunity.  It's
interesting that the reason Microsoft gave for extending the limited support
on 9x, was that people in the small user and developing world markets needed
additional time to aquire improved technology.  So, Microsoft consider that
not everyone currently has the means to aquire technology above that which
they currently have.
