Did you try unloading and reloading jaws? Maybe it was just a speech lockup. I have an XP system running jaws 5.10, which isn't much different from 5.0, and it is very jerky -- sometimes very responsive, sometimes stops for a half minute or so and is generally sluggish. I have tried virus scans, defrags, other tuning, but nothing helps. Anyway, aren't computers fun????;) --le ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bundy, Keith" <Keith.Bundy@xxxxxxx> To: <guispeak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <vicug-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, November 12, 2004 10:35 AM Subject: [guispeak] Computer Problem >I am working with an individual using JAWS 5.0 with Windows 98. > Yesterday while downloading emails, his computer locked up halfway > through the process. > > He proceeded to restart the computer, but JAWS did not run.
