We are attempting to sync active directory with ldap and have some users that 
will need to have the parent account reset.  We are trying to publish a naming 
convention that won't match what we use for employees.

I wish. Here is our whole suggestion:  It is best to use an alphanumeric 
(letters and numbers) user name. LOL
