Dear Denise Epperson,

I am writing to personally share some exciting news with you. Tomorrow
morning we will publically announce that ParentLink has been acquired by
Blackboard. As one of the founders of this great company who has watched it
grow from day one, I personally could not be more thrilled about this
organizational milestone. I wanted to reach out directly to provide you
with insight into what this news means for you, your students, teachers and
staff.

Our first and biggest priority during this transition is making sure you
continue to have an incredibly positive experience with our company and
products. There will be no immediate changes to the support teams you are
working with. Your current contract will not change and existing ParentLink
products and services will continue to be deployed and supported.

You will continue to get the same great service and personal attention you
have come to expect from us, starting with a 1:1 discussion with your
account manager in the upcoming days and weeks to walk through any
questions you may have and ensure you are well-informed throughout this
transition. Over time, and as we continue to look for ways to improve and
extend our support to you, we will share more about how ParentLink’s
products will fit into Blackboard’s larger K-12 solutions strategy.

Now, I know this news may come as a surprise to some of you as we have been
competing against Blackboard for a long time. But we made this decision
simply because we share the same mission. As two of the leading providers
of K-12 communications, Blackboard and ParentLink will bring an unmatched
expertise and passion to our industry. We are both focused on the same
objective: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the students,
parents and schools we serve through highly innovative technology.

As a part of the Blackboard family, we will be able to make more product
investments and provide more resources and support to you. By leveraging
the full strength of Blackboard’s portfolio along with ParentLink’s
customer-centric tools, we will help schools create a more informed and
involved community that ultimately leads to student success. Blackboard has
acquired our business because they believe in our products, our people and
our hands-on approach to how we service you. ParentLink and our people will
be an integral part in how Blackboard continues to conduct business in K-12.
