Interesting. Anyone have experience using it? Any risks? I seem to remember
there was an instance where some vermiculite contained asbestos, but
probably that material is no longer on the market.

We're using our wool in the 10" high space between the Durisol foundation
walls & the straw bale walls, and treating it with boric acid powder
("Roach Powder" from Agway) to protect against insect damage. I still hope
to find more wool, because we're almost out. It is a very pleasant material
to install. The lanolin "softens your hands while you insulate the walls"*.

Some of the spaces will be accessible after the roof is on, but some are
getting enclosed right now.
