Ok will do, I noticed that I have route following set to turns olny, will this make a difference? Also, I did verify and arrival distance is set to 50 and threshold to 12.

Try turning off Force Sequential route following you may have better luck.
Keys to type are (R M F).

Charles, I have forr sequencial route on, intersections set to detail, and it tells me that I'm certain feet behind path and tells me to turn around. Hope this explains all, and I'm not a braillenote savvy, so if you wree to tell me to do a replay or send email, I get lost. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles LaPierre" <charles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hello Armando,

Well having Force sequential route following turned on could be the problem, because if the GPS doesn't exactly reach the previous waypoint then you won't move along the route. So you may want to consider turning that off. If you need it on because your route loops upon itself then you will need to follow the instructions back to waypoint 10 in order to "reach" it then the system will proceed along your route following your instruction of "Force Sequential Route following".

The others you say are all on. What does that mean? Do you have route following as Detailed or Turns only?

When you say the system says "several feet behind a path" what does it really say, the gps software doesn't say that it will same something like "35 feet left to Waypoint 10, park Bench, North East" or some such string.

Also what do you have your Arrival distance set to? The default if 50 feet, has that been changed? To find out that type O then cursor down until you get to Arrival Distance and it will tell you what it is currently set to.

Charles.

charles, I'm in gps mode, not in virtual, I'm at the end of my waypoints and reverse the route and I get nothing but misreadings, such as I'm several feet behind a path that I just got off and all settings you mentioned are on. So, at this point, I'm very disappointed with the gps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles LaPierre" <charles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hello Armando,

Without more information I don't think anyone on this list can help.
What we need to know is what exactly does the system say once you reverse the route. Where are you physically when you reverse the route are you in GPS mode or in Virtual mode. If you are in GPS mode and lets say there are 10 waypoints in the route are you physically at Waypoint 10 when you reverse the route? What does the system say? Then when you start moving towards waypoint 9 what does the system say when you reach it? What does the system say when you press K for Current Waypoint (i.e the waypoint the system is trying to lead you to next.)

Also you said this is a manual route is all the waypoints straight or are some turns? Which mode are you in turns only or detailed (you can find out By pressing R then I for Route Information.)

Other questions we need to know is, is your route configuration set to Force sequential route following, and do you have auto increment waypoints on or off. Those settings you can also get with the Route Information command (R I)

Once we know what settings you have turned on or off and then what mode you are in GPS or Virtual and if you are in GPS mode where is your GPS actual location when you reverse the route, and what the system says exactly, can we help you figure out what the system is doing or what you need to do in order to fixed the problem.

I hope this is not overwhelming, this is part of the 3 hour phone training you get when you buy our system, I encourage you to take this training if you haven't already done so. Another option is to listen to the audio tutorial on Route creation / following and reading that section of the manual for helpful hints is another good idea.

Good luck.
Charles.

Hello Members,
For the last week or so, I have been having issues with my manual route, when reversing. I created the manual route, saved it, and reversed it and no success. The reading I get is that I'm a certain feet behind a path and I'm not getting accurate direction. I know the route I created, but just like another member, I'm very upset with the GPS. Any ideas as to why I get misreadings and am not succesful with the creation of manual routes? You're talking to an inexperienced braillenote user, so anything to do with saving or gps replay is foreign. Thanks.
Armando
