For me, the more automated the device is, the better because my hands are
busy. While developing specific routes can be immensely helpful, the big
thing for me is tracking just where I am without having to jump through
hoops to get the information..

The reason I am encouraging the universal design idea is that this might
help with the financing for development and research. We have already
determined that that which exists for the IPhone device is somewhat minimal,
and it may be that it is too minimal for everyone. I'd just love to see you
all come up with something really neat and make a bundle for the effort.

Dianne

I am waiting to choose a phone, based on what Sendero does. The biggest
thing is, that sendero still gives automati information with out having to
interact with the phone. GPS means travelling, cane in one hand, ears on
the environment and mind on processing the information it receives. That
means to be useful as a mobility aid, gps has to automatically tell you the
information you will need before you need it. That would make voice control

with in the operating platform of the phone in to a useful feature.
Unfortunately, microsoft is very late to this party.
