Subject: [gps-talkusers] cool products

As some of you are aware, there is a link on the main Sendero page called Cool Products. I haven't updated this as often as I should but it is a collection of products sort of related to GPS which are accessible. These are not products Sendero sells. My Playback reports about the Consumer Electronics Show are also on this page.

I would like to cast the net a little wider and ask you and your friends to suggest any mainstream products you use which happen to be accessible. It is as often by accedent as it is by design that these products are mostly usable by a blind person.

For example, the Nokia N82 has very distinct buttons whereas most phones have very flat buttons. The Outi headphones are an example of a mainstream product which is very useful to a blind person but they weren't designed for us. The Talking Thermastat was designed with blind people in mind but is broadly applicable to general markets. What are your favorite electronic mainstream products? Please email me off the list. mikemay@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I may add some of the suggestions to the Cool Products page.

Mike
