Good evening to the list,

I'm new to this list so thought I'd say why I'm here.

I am a blinded, total, veteran from the Viet Nam era and started looking to
gather information to pass on to the VA along with my request to purchase a
GPS unit with all necessary equipment. I have broken it down to either the
VoiceNote MPower GPS, which I favor, or the Trekker. I am in the process of
writing my request letter and will see where that takes me.

Are there any other blinded veterans on this list using the BrailleNote or
VoiceNote GPS?

I plan to get my hands on one to look at on Friday and will find it
interesting.

I live in a very rural part of Massachusetts with my wife and two of our
three daughters, the third is a paralegal near New Haven, CT.

This unit should work wonders if I can be in an open field and then head
home knowing where obstacles are and the openings into the fields.

Thank you all for any information that you have already or may give in the
near future.

I don't know how many of you are going to Portland, Maine but I can inform
you where to get the best lobster roll for the entire state and that is in
Wiscasset on Rt. 1 at Reds Eats. Have a great day,

Paul Bolduc
