I have no faith in but no argument either with the theories involved with 
astronomy.. But their dependence on red shifts for distance etc makes this 
Russian viewpoint relativistically interesting..  The Math were beyond me, and 
in any case he also hypothesizes. Maxwell had a concept of the aether as 
vortices, but concepts are like dreams, more than a theory that can be tested.
