I checked their list of suppliers. Jeffers has 3-packs for $5.91.
Hypothetically, if you could get 24 people to order (8 3-packs), with
shipping, the cost for each one would be $2.26.

What would be the approximate price after shipping?

Maybe we could place a group order. If all of us who want one get them at
the same time, we could get them cheaper. Who's in?

There is no way I spent $10 on mine. I know I shopped around and I'm
positive I spent less than that for 2 of them, and that included shipping. It
is well worth it. It only takes seconds to remove the tick from a squirly kid.
:)

Holy cow! Ten dollars for a measuring spoon with a notch in it if you
only
buy one. I think I'll experiment and try to make my own. Looks like it
would
      work well.
