- Thanks Mike- It would have been quite the flash event to watch as everybody slowly meandered toward the designated spot and then had to sprint 1700ft to get to the webcam and log. hmmm... I'm thinking a flash minithon event might be a hoot. Post the coords somewhere near (insert location here) and go a mile away in an undisclosed direction and blow a horn. Everyone who get's to the finish line in 15 mins or less gets a smiley. naah never go for it. Sounds like work. Unless the finish line location sells beer ... hmmm .... beer is food, right? ------ Original Message ------ Received: Thu, 08 Nov 2007 09:51:00 PM EST From: Mike Tollefson <mbtoll@xxxxxxxxx> To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [GeoStL] Re: WWFM GZ coordinates should be verified I contacted missourimule and they were under the impression that they couldn't place the coordinates for the event where the webcam is. But the event is in fact AT the webcam. I am pretty sure that Glenn would be okay with having the event coordinates within 0.10 mile of the web cam as and would recommend changing the coordinates for the WWFM to reflect the actual location to avoid confusion since the event page doesn't even mention the webcam. So everybody - go to the webcam for the WWFM. The Event page never mentioned the webcam. Perhaps it is not the intention of the owner to use the webcam at all. Thanks to (you know who you are) for pointing out my subject/verb disagreement in my previous message. ------ Original Message ------ Received: Thu, 08 Nov 2007 09:08:20 PM EST From: fascist-cows_dreaming@xxxxxxx To: <geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [GeoStL] WWFM GZ coordinates should be verified - Please double check me on this one, but .... I believe that the child waypoint for the "Ground Zero" assembly point for the WWFM event at New Town are incorrect. The webcam is by the town hall and the wp for GZ is almost 1,700 ft away. If this is the intended GZ and I am correct about the placement of the webcam then it's not going to be a very good picture. I think that the GZWP was taken at the wrong end of the lagoon. Anyone care to double check my findings before I send a note to the event owner?
