Sounds like you got ripped off. To be sure check N38 51.970 W90 03.290 If
you see IL 255, it is 2009, if you don't see it, it is 2008.

I got my nuvi today, but I think it's got the old maps in it. The e-bay add
said it had the most recent V10 2009 maps, but when I click on map details
it says City Navigator North America NT 2008.
Am I looking in the wrong place or did I get ripped off?
