- Myotis, I am so fed up with your BS about the number hounds. I can recall on several occasions where you and Kevin ran out a week later, to beat our numbers, after we had a good cache run. I even recall where you came up to me and said "Oh you ONLY found 140. WE got blah blah blah". Most of us are pretty fed up with your negativity. Like someone said, why don't you quit, since you are not having any fun. I've been biting my tongue for a long time, but you've brought me to the breaking point. Please don't respond to this email. I don't care to hear what you have to say. Bernie ( having fun finding all types of caches, whether I find 3 or 333 in a day). -----Original Message----- From: geocaching-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:geocaching-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim Bensman Sent: Friday, December 24, 2010 11:05 AM To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [GeoStL] Re: Favorite points! - That's easy. Caches that show you an interesting location or are hidden in a challenging way. A LPC by a mural would show you an interesting location so it would be quality. A LPC in a Walmart parking lot would not show you an interesting location. It would not meet the definition. Once you have seen one Walmart lamppost, you've seen them all. But a mural is a unique and interesting location. What I would like to see (if we cannot ban lame caches) is a Numbers attribute. It would be defined as caches to get your numbers up that do not show you an interesting location and are not hidden in a challenging way. It simply amazes me with all Groundspeak keeps adding they cannot add something to allow those of us who are fed up with and do not enjoy the lame caches to filter them out. There are over 50 attributes already. If someone cannot be bothered with taking the time to find an interesting location or hide a cache in a challenging location, it seems reasonable to expect them to identify their caches. But then again when you see these numbers hounds shuffling caches to save a few seconds and throw away series, maybe I am expecting too much.
