I'll try to answer this the best I can.
Everyone knows we all volunteer our time here so it's a "labor of love"
thing. Paul wrote all the perl scripts that massage the GC data or our SQL
databases to provide the custom reports and pages. Over time, the format of
the data we grab from gc.com is constantly changing, therefore 'breaking"
the report. After a while it just isn't worth it to have to fix it once a
week or whenever gc.com makes a change.
Since this is a complex problem to us normal geostl users, we can't just
change a word on a webpage and have it work again. Neither can we just go to
BestBuy and buy some software to create the report we want. No one else has
volunteered to write/re-write the code to make it work. We're at the mercy
of volunteers to get what we have now, and we sure can't force anyone
either.
If anyone has any ideas to get around this, we're all ears.
