Dear G.A. Parents: December 20, 2001

It's the day before Christmas break and all through the school
every creature is stirring and ignoring every school rule.
The teachers are tired and ready for a long winter's nap
But every child is wound up and singing a Christmas rap.
Mr. Reker and Miss Gallion are fit to be tied
Because every child sent to their offices have cried, cried, cried.
Mrs. Dornbach and Mrs. Mers have spent time on the phone
Listening to everyone's sad tale and moan.
The Police Santa came today to grades 2, 1 & K
And ever since the children have been yelling hip-hip horray!
The primary children constantly skip through the halls
While the junior high kids are climbing the walls.
The middle grades students from grades 6, 5 and 4
Can't wait until 2:30 tomorrow to run out the door.
As you can see G.A. is a wild place today,
But I'd have it no other way!
It's great to see everyone spreading the Christmas cheer
And there's no better place than to be right here.
Thanks for sending your children to us one and all,
And may God bless all your family from the tall to the small.

As you can see from the above try at poetry that it is "wild" around here,
but that's how it is supposed to be. It is fun watching your children get
excited for Christmas and for remembering the birth of Jesus. I hope and
pray that your Christmas may be one filled with many of God's good
blessings and many memories.

January will be a very busy month at G.A. We will continue working on our
Crises Plan and looking at the future of G.A. The Golden Rule Committee
has chosen "justice" as the theme of January, and the children will have a
number of speakers during the month. The Mighty Ducks will give the
children a motivational speech and Judge Sylvia Sieve Hendon and Offier
Eric Pryor will talk to the students about justice. Each class will also
have the
opportunity to participate in a mock trial. The month of January ends with
Catholic Schools Week 2002, which is always a great time.

Take care and enjoy your Christmas Holidays!

Merry Christmas! God's blessings of peace and joy!

David Reker
Principal
