You blit them to the screen then flip the screen (or at least the part that

It is kind of like that old game you play as a kid where you take a tablet
of paper and draw a picture, and the next page you draw the same picture but
slightly different, and so on, so that when flip through the pages real
quick it looks kind of like a movie.

I recommend that you focus on the task, and then when the task demands it,
you find best library for that task. If you are looking for a library to
start with I recommend SDL.
