I don't know anything about Opalis, so you can ignore the
rest of this if that is the only way you want to go.  Since
you have a Unix box, you can easily monitor alarms and
send emails with a few scripts.  You can parse the alarm
history file a look for certain alarms and then send emails
when they are found.
