Andreas,
There is a tool under development to address the reporting and scripting
capabilities of the IEE. =
Internal project teams are able to use it today, but we aren't yet
distributing it to end users for the usual reasons - incomplete testing
and documentation. Never the less, the work is being done and the tool
can do more than ICC Driver Task could do. Since it can be used
internally, I don't think I'll get in too much trouble talking about
unreleased products. :-)
This tool (DirectAccess) will address your points 1, 2, and 4 as I
understand them.
Point 3 is an interesting suggestion. If you'd like us to examine it,
please submit a PER through the CSC web site.

Hi Alex,
here my IEE features from the wish list.
- exporting data out of IEE on a regular (cyclic, event-driven) base
into our own plant wide database which is used for monitoring (parameter
changes) and notification, engineering
- importing data into IEE (event-driven), creating loops, control
databases automatically (without loading into CP) and sending the report
of this whole procedure to predefined recipients
- implementing different set of rules regarding the block naming schema
or specific block-parameter-configurations
IEE should use these rules to check the manual input of an engineer or
the import data and notify the user or report it.
- manipulating the database using third party or self written tools
Regards,
Andreas
