An FBP10 has to be up to a certain eeprom level 6.3.2 to communicate
with an CP270 or CP60

This eeprom has to occur while you are still communicating with your old
CP..it is accomplished by loading the specific iom for 6.2 and above and
performing the eeprom.

Then CP270 or CP60 can talk to FBP

Subject: [foxboro] HOW TO CONNECT FBP10 TO FCP270

Dear List,

I am at our customer site for commissioning, previously the problem of
AB
PLC through CAM to FBM231 is solved by the help of list members.

This is an upgrade job form IA version 3.3 Unix to 8.2 XP the old system
has
CP30FT which is connected to few 100 series FBMs through DFBI and to
FBCs
through FBP10 (in daisy chain format of FieldBus) and Field bus is
terminated at TCA of FPB10.

The CP30FT is upgraded to FCP270FT and 100 series FBM and FBC are remain
same.
Now when I connect the Field bus form FCP270FT to existing 100 series
FBMs
and to FBP, the SMDH show that all FBMs are ok and communicating I also
do
EEPROM Update through SMDH, but the FBP10 and FBPs are red and not
communicating and status shows that Both Field Bus cables are failed.

So, I connect FBP10 directly to FCP270FT but the status is same.

Dear List members please provide me solution of this issue.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Imran Butt,
System Engineer.
