Hi,
To Restore the system I didn't work with newer version, but for old system 
like what I have 6.3
insert cdrom (Day0)
press stop+a
write boot cdrom
then the machine will boot from cd
will ask you about login write root
then write restore
it will ask you some question like if you have mirrord drive etc...
Then restore process starts
To install a new station you should use day0 version 7.0 first then commit 
the station the use release update 7.1 to update to 7.1
