Things move slowly in Taos.
While waiting for a larger plan to unfold that might address long term
development at the airport, I suggest that a small group (I nominate
Blair B., Joe K., and Bob D., with Kino as a consultant) meet with the
Town Manager to petition that the 5-year extension to the lease for the
tan hangars be activated. I'm happy to assist in the process.

All of you pilots that own or are in one of the tan hangars. According to the lease agreement with the Town of Taos your hangar becomes city property on 31 Dec 2021. There is an option for a five year extension but so far no one has petitioned the town. I have talked to the town many times over the years and several times in the last few months about the future status of these hangars. So far the town has not committed to anything. You have the most to gain or lose from their decision. I would suggest you organize then make an appointment to meet with the town manager. If nothing is done then according to your leases the hangars become town property very soon.
