yeah, there was a demo at mec, but that was by the ILUG kochi. Let me
see. And, it didnt run properly that day after all those geeky men
from ILUG kochi worked over it. There was still something missing and
things...

everything is actually possible,, i just need someone to come and tell
me "i am ready,, give me some work!"

Nice to see all these ideas sprouting! :-)
1)GNU\Linux demo for freshers - anyone with free time is welcome to organize
the session.. just get the kids (hope i'm wrong) and the box and the
projector in one room, and vroom we go!
2) comparison of free and open unix kernels... i think we can manage (i'm
wasting a lot of time these days...may be i can contribute something) i
think we can do this in december, when we get some fresh air after all these
exams, records and crap.. above all, this requires some prep- so it'll take
time.
3)life of a program - let someone from the computer science dept take it up,
cos these things are part of their syllabus. not necessarily final year, s5
or even s3 guys (or gals) can volunteer
4) i don't know if we can do it, but, for the gaming enthusiasts, can we
organize a gaming demo? githin, don't u remember the q4 arena demo at the
FOSS stall at MEC (Excel '06)? this is a nice way to attract kids towards
linux...

Of course there should be someone other than githin to take the lead...
someone from s5, to be more correct, that's how the generation extends!
