2 questions-

1.is there a way to programmatically(vbscript and wmi?) to stop an smtp
connector?

2. if i stop the smtp connector and its the only one for a routing group,
will that stop and queue all outgoing email in that routing group until it
comes back up?

I'm trying to stop all email from going out to the internet in a routing
group for a few hours to do some maintance on my email compliance server.
i just want mail to sit in the queue and not generate any ndr's for a
client until i turn it back on.
and ideally i'd like to script this so i can scehdule it because the work
being done on the server won't start till midnight on Sunday and i don't
feel like staying up just to freeze the queue or stop the connector.

thanks
