no out going mail

sorry for the delay but :
1 I have to down load at my station then check out then reply from this
mailserver
2 I am new to this win / exchange 2000
so :
I have looked in the event logs and have found no reference to any mail
problem..........
ealier on in the day their was a problem with but since I have re booted (
several times ) there is no longer any problems,
