Hi Jim

Just curious as I haven't come across this one. What would happen if you
ran Exchange tasks in AD Users and Groups. do you get option to assign
Exchange attributes to the user? If not could you delete his mailbox from
the same place then run the cleanup option in the Exchange system Manager
and if it appears reconnect it to the relevant network account? The second
option would create a GAL entry.

Just a thought more than anything else really. Don't know if it helps at
all?

Regards,

Paul Lemonidis.

Hi I had something similar happen and what we did was just open Outlook
and plug their name in and the Information Store indicated his account
was still there. But he was not in the GAL or nor was his display name
visible in the Exchange Manager but there was an account with no Display
Name. We sent mail from this account after we connected to it and it
gave no from address so we archived the mail and recreated the account
and it was okay again in the GAL. Hope it helps Jim

hi,

we've been running a win 2k server which now runs exchange 2000. all
seems
fine but when i look at exisitng user in active directory, there is no
email
page and they don't exist in the gal. do i have to recreate the users
from
scratch (or is there a less drastic solution)?

thanks
mark sudron
