Most likely the client network does not have SSL (port 443) open for
access. That would be my guess.

Subject: [exchangelist] OWA from behind a proxy

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi all,

I have an Exch 5.5 + OWA in a DMZ. My users have been reporting that
they cannot get through OWA when they're on someone else's LAN.

Further investigation showed that these users were connecting through a
proxy.

The problem is that after they enter their alias and click the
hyperlink, the authentication box does not pop up, but instead the
client's browser goes blank.

The the proxy (the one the client is connecting through) reports an
'Authentication Failed' error.

What's going on? Any idea how we can solve this?

Thanks and regards
