[ExchangeList] Re: Mail sent to invalid recipients - direct the NDR to go to a mailbox

It are exactly those settings I am talking about...

You have to specify a mailbox on the IMC, this has been done. The
sender (who is outside of the Exchange org) receives an NDR when he
sends a message to an invalid recipient. The message however isnt being
deliverd to the mailbox which has been set up on the IMC.

mail doesent get dropped.. It gets bounced with a NDR, and could be collected if you change a few settings

-------------------------------------------------------Thanks for the suggestion. We will be implementing a solution.

In this case however it concerns the mail that has already been sent to
invalid addresses, did that mail simply get dropped?

-------------------------------------------------------OK, that is why I
asked, you are going about it the wrong way.

When a person leaves, log on as that person and configure the mail box for a
vacation message stating the person is no longer with the company and then
forward the incoming message to a central mail box for management review.

Or, you could delete the mail box and create a central mail box for
management review and add the previous email address as an additional SMTP
address for that central box.
