http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------The purpose is to be able to view the e-mail that is still being send to people that have already left the company. Imgagine a person leaves the company but the people he did business with are still sending him mail because they have not informed by him/her that he or she would be leaving the company. An other scenario would be to keep the mailbox of the person who left for some time and perhaps set a forward to another mailbox on it. And then delete it after some time. In this scenario this had not been done this way. ----- Oorspronkelijk bericht ----- Van: "John T (Lists)" <johnlist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Datum: woensdag, september 27, 2006 2:16 am Onderwerp: [ExchangeList] Re: Mail sent to invalid recipients - direct the NDR to go to a mailbox > What is the purpose? > > > > John T > > eServices For You > > > > "Seek, and ye shall find!" > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Victor W. > Sent: Tuesday, September 26, 2006 1:58 PM > To: exchangelist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [ExchangeList] Mail sent to invalid recipients - direct > the NDR to > go to a mailbox > > > > It concerns Exchange 5.5 > > > > I know Exchange 5.5. sends an NDR if a message is sent to an invalid > recipient but can the actual message be send to a postmaster mailbox? > > On the IMC you can configure a mailbox but no messages are > currently going > to that mailbox. > > > > What I would like is a message coming from the internet, sent to > an invalid > recipient in my domain, gets dropped into a mailbox in my domain. > > This only concerns incoming messages, coming from the internet > that is. > > > > > > Victor > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- List Archives: http://www.freelists.org/archives/exchangelist/ MSExchange Newsletter: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp MSExchange Articles and Tutorials: http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/ MSExchange Blogs: http://blogs.msexchange.org/ ------------------------------------------------------- Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe visit http://www.msexchange.org/pages/exchangelist.asp Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
