If you want to do that for free, then create a journal mailbox, archive all
outbound and inbound messages to it and then check it every 24 hours, and
these are your messages.
Just make you delete all of them, other wise to become a problem in terms of
size.

Have fun

Subject: [exchangelist] How can I count number of email messages per day
on
Exchange 2003?

Hello
I need to get an approximation of the number of messages that flow through
our Exchange 2003 email system on a daily basis. I can't seem to find a
tool to do this. I have one Exchange 2003 SP1 server with 684 mailboxes on
it. Thanks for your help.
