http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------We looked at this a couple of years ago and one of the biggest reasons we didn't go hosted was because we routinely exchange large emails internally (advertisements for our magazines) and sending internally would be utilizing our bandwidth each way. Another reason was the limits some of the hosting providers put on mailbox size (or they charge you more). We could have gone with this also with some end user training and a change in our processes, but management agreed with me that we should keep exchange inside our network. Some how i am not getting a comfort feeling on hosting to a 3rd Party Provider. I need some hard, concrete data to back up my words to Management. I do agree that manageability, cost, Dependency will improve with 3rd Party but there might be reasons on why i should not host it Outside my network.
