Also MS told us they are moving away from their support of A/A because of this. Cause the problem seems to lie in the core of the product. We also called Veritas, and asked them about the clustering software, and they informed us they support A/A on everything but Exchange because of this problem. BUt they said that MS was working on a solution that would be completed by the end of the 4th Quarter, but it looks as though this problem is in the core program and why would ms fix this when they are already writing the next version of Exchange. -----Original Message----- From: Wieler, Kenneth [mailto:kenneth.wieler@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, November 21, 2002 10:43 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Clustering Exchange http://www.MSExchange.org/ I thought the memory fragmentation was resolved in E2k SP2. I worked with MS Consulting and he said it was resolved so I implemented and Active/Active cluster. If so how much memory do you have in your server? If the memory amount is greater than 1Gb then you need a /3Gb switch in the boot.ini file. Plus you also need a reg switch set to 262144. See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;315407 for more information. This switch is primarily set for a clustered environment. We are going to explore the possibility to go to this, but I wanted to get some opinions on it first.
