That registry key frees up the memory. So in this case when the first server
went down the memory would be freed up so that the second server doesn't

What we were told by MS was that E2k when it writes to memory does not do it
in a sequential order. I.E. it doesn't go 1 2 3 4. It instead goes 4 2 8
10. And say if one of your servers goes down. and it is using 4 2 8 10 and
the server that is still up and running is using say 3 6 7 10 then that will
cause the running server to crash because they were both using 10 and if one
server is already using that memory the second server can't use it. That's
what I have been told.

Chris,
We are running Exch 2000 Active/Active cluster with no problems. What
kind of problems did MS refer to with Active/active cluster ?

Regards,

Raj

Okay, we have been beating our heads around looking for a cluster option
that will work for us, obviously Active/Active was shot down, because of
the memory fragmentation, even though initially MS told us it could be
done, for the meantime we are looking to just go Active/Passive, I was
wondering though what the general consensus on going N+1 is. We are
going to explore the possibility to go to this, but I wanted to get some
opinions on it first.

Chris
