Ken

Check and see if you have the registry key
.....MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/RPC/ClientProtocols. If it's missing add
it in the same as it is on another PC. (There's five string values to
add)

If not. Try, uninstalling and reinstalling TCP/IP.

Good luck
George

Morning George!

Have uninstalled and re-installed both Office XP and 2K niether allows
me access.
The users can get to the mail on any other workstation in nouse and OWA.
It effects all levels of users including domain admins.
Have tried dis-joining the domain, deleting the workstation account and
then re-joining the domain.
Had a suggestion to try the IP address in the mail account rather than
the name for the server. Will let you know how that works.
I have tried to remove the mail account configuration and am denied
access to doing so "as an account for an E2K server has already been
established"? How it is established, I have know idea, and why I cannot
connect to the server, same answer.
If you have anymore questions- suggestions, I would gladly listen to all
of them!

Thanks
Ken

I am looking now at doing a full scale rebuild of the workstation. Last
resort thing!

        Ken
Have you tried reinstalling a complete office XP or downgrading
to Office 2000 (if you can)?
I'm assuming you can get access to the mailbox on another
machine with outlook and you can't get access to any mailboxes on the
new PC, or is it just one user? Does OWA work on the new machine? Sounds
like a specific Outlook problem rather than a connectivity thing.
        Cheers
        George

Can you ping the e2k server both from a netbios FQDN
stand point?

                        Hello,
I am having a VERY strange problem with one PC
that is trying to connect to the E2K server. I just replaced one PC with
another at the same wall port (same type of PC, same OS and office XP).
When you try to connect to the users mailbox on this machine I get a
message that tells me that it cannot find the E2K server. This is
strange because I can browse to the server via the network as well as
ping and tracert to it.
I have logged on as the Admin and still have not
been able to get to it.
The Box, and cables have all been replaced, and
the cables all tested.
The DNS settings are correct on the box.
I only have connectivity tester and this shows
as being good between the wall port and patch panel.
                        Any suggestions?
                        Thanks
                        Ken
This is the only one having issues in the whole
place! The first box was replaced due to other reasons the Outlook ran
fine on that one!!!
