Hi Dvori!

If you are looking for a good book on extensive reading- both on a theoretical and practical level, try Extensive Reading in the Second Language Classroom by Richard Day and Julian Bamford. For an academic book, it's quite a page turner.

There is also the EPER Guide, published by the U. of Edinburgh which is basically a practical manual for organizing programs of extensive reading. It could be very helpful if you are thinking of setting up or improving your extensive reading library in school

You might also check journals- Reading in a Foreign Language in particular, which publishes excellent academic articles by experts in the field, or you could try online Internet forums on extensive reading.

Hope this helps,
Sara

Hi all,

I've read Judy Steiner's booklet about the Reading for Pleasure program on anglit.net, and would like to learn more about it. Does anyone know where i can find more theoretical and practical info about it?

thanks,

Dvori Avramovich, katzrin
