thanks for the hint. Forgot to test that. (If building a .deb works I'm content
;)
I uploaded a new tar.gz with a new line in Makefile.common
PREFIX ?= /usr/local
which works over here: Building a .deb or plain "make; make install"
feedback welcome. positive feedback even more ;)
