Nope, the bracket that the gear selector lever pivots on. THis is bolted
tothe brake propotioning valve on the frame. The shifter rod just uses it's
little 'cup' with a plastic busghing to piivot on. The spring keeps the
assembly from popping out of the bracket (that I am looking for).
