Hmmm.....I must've been lucky, thus far. My '87 MC LS/CL (daily driver since 2003) was on AutoTrader. And, unlike some of the stuff on Craigslist, my 1979 Caprice Classic sedan (winter daily driver starting this winter) was on CL.... Found lots of those on there. -----Original Message----- From: elky-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:elky-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Lindh Sent: Wednesday, February 24, 2010 9:04 AM To: elky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [elky] Paging the CTS-V Enthusiast Brian, http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=p&car_id=275311200 This car is calling to me... (just found it... was reading the latest issue of Winding Road where they claim an '07 is the best sport sedan at $30K http://magazine.windingroad.com/issue/54/ ) I still think I need a truck, but the more I over-analyze the more I see that 99% of my driving is short drives: taking the boys to school, trips to the Post Office / UPS store, etc. In the three and half years I have owned the Volvo I've only put 24K miles on it... maybe 26K counting when the speedo wasn't functional (the first replacement differential). That's 7,500 miles a year... that would indicate ANY car I use will be lightly used at best. Granted if we buy a mega cab truck it will be used for all trips... but I doubt that would add more than another 2,000 miles. Our Infiniti G35 only has 55K: 11K/year, which is low considering my wife used to travel a lot for work - 25K/year was normal. I don't "need" a CTS-V, but I'd love to have one. Is it worth the extra $ to get an '06+? (LS2, better differential). I don't know enough about CTS-Vs. I was toying with the idea of a Subaru WRX wagon. Utility of a wagon plus potentially better MPG (not that I'm spending that much on fuel with so few miles - but the Volvo barely gets 16 MPG in town). I'm leery of a small car in Atlanta though... -- Chris Rules: Please play nicely with others. -List members page (text & pic links): http://www.myelcamino.net/eclist.htm -List members page (all pics): http://www.myelcamino.net/ec_list.htm Rules: Please play nicely with others. -List members page (text & pic links): http://www.myelcamino.net/eclist.htm -List members page (all pics): http://www.myelcamino.net/ec_list.htm
