Pele,My understanding is that there was no evidence that Richard had a deformed back, and that this was something cooked up in Tudor times and elaborated on by Shakespeare. I could be wrong.

Hi Steve Have you read "The Lady of the Rivers" which is about Jacketta, Elizabeth Woodville's Mother. I liked it better than "The White Queen". I thought it very strange that in the three books I have read by Philippa Gregory there is no mention of Richard III having a deformed back. I understood this was fact. But, as you say, there is a lot we do not know about that time. I enjoyed the first episode on Sunday. Pele ----- No virus found in this message.
