  Mike, you would have to create a t joint, and not even a solid one at 
that...the gripper we have is lodged in between a solid piece of tubing which 
is also reinforced! it just wond work, trust me...what about the 36 in space 
between the 2 grippers? what about the stress of having 1T joint and 2 L 
joints? it would be insanely...not good?...my idea adds very litle weight and 
is functional...and yours isnt.
