So do you have to do the characters one at a time or is there a way you can
make the characters repeat. I know there's a box under styles but seems like I
remember that when I tried to use it I had a problem; can't remember as it's
been a long time back.

For the sides of boxes, I use a letter l (1 2 3) for the left side and the
underline character (4 5 6) for the right side of the box. It looks strange in
a print screen but comes out OK in braille if you switch Grade Zero (no
translate) or are already in a braille screen.

You can also fiddle with the corners by finding a letter or symbol which
connects with your top row and bottom row characters for a more seamless effect.
