Hi Curtis,

You don't mention which embosser you are using, but I suspect your
problem may due to incorrect Form Size. I will however assume you are
using continuous paper with margin sprocket holes.

First, take one sheet of this paper, and count the number of holes
down one side. There are two holes per inch, and so 22 holes means
you are using 11 inch deep paper which is probably most common in
America. In the United Kingdom and Europe, 24 holes, or 12 inch deep
is common, while in Japan, it is likely to be 20 holes, or 10 inches.

Now go to DBT's Global menu, and select "Embosser Setup". Tab down to
the "Desired Braille Document Formatting" section, where the first
field is a drop down list box called "Form:". The list is split into
"Wide Width" and "Narrow Width" which basically equates to around 40
and 32 cells per line. (I can be more specific later if needs be.)
You will also note that a depth in inches is given.

Let us suppose you find that you are using 11 inch deep paper (22
holes) and that it is about letter size wide, you would select "Narrow
Width, 11 inch long, braille paper" from the list.

You will now find that the following fields are automatically
populated with "Recommended" settings of cells per line and lines per
page for this size of paper on your chosen model of braille embosser.

Do some tests with new documents to see if this resolves your problem.

But BEWARE. If you have a document which you have already created and
saved, then repeat the above exercise, but this time go to "DOCUMENT"
Embosser Setup, and change the Form size there. This is because each
saved document, also saves the paper settings.

George.

I have a question when I try to print some thing with dbt 10.7 and it
has
multiple pages for example the bottom of page one will over lap in to
page
two and when you tear the apart half of the top of page two is on the
bottom
of page one how can I fix that we tried changing the top margin but
that
doesn't seem to work

Hi Jo,

Sorry if the following appear to be silly questions, but something
does appear to be amiss here.

Do I take it that you have opened the file in DBT 10.7? (If you don't
have 10.7, what version do you have?)

Are you saving your Word 2007 files as type Word 97-2003 (*.doc)

In Word, if you go to modify the Heading 2 Style, what does it say in
the "Style is based on:" list box?

If all else fails, can you send me the Word file as an attachment to
george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx as I suspect there's something very subtle
wrong here.

George.

Hi everyone,
I have reviewed the way my heading level 2 appears in a Word 2007
document
and it is aligned at the left margin with the font size not being
much
smaller than heading level one. How can Duxbury then put that heading
in
cell 5?

Or...? Are headings different in Word 2003 which Duxbury works well
with?
I use Window-Eyes and so when I want to do a head 1, my shortcut
keystroke
is control plus alt plus 1. For heading level 2 the keystroke is the
same
except that the digit 2 is used. Thanks for the explanation.
