Hello. These ideas for refreshing the screen are all good, especially in a situation where another window is "blocking" DBT's status line. However, I think that Ann's main problem with DBT and JAWS 10 is something diferent. When you launch DBT, it doesn't automatically notice that you have JAWS 10 installed and offer to install the JAWS script files for DBT in your JAWS 10 settings. This is a problem that will be fixed in the next version of DBT. But with DBT 10.6 or DBT 10.7 and JAWS 10, you have to install the JAWS script files for DBT manually. The other alternative is to merge settings from JAWS 9, if you already had those JAWS script files in your JAWS 9 settings. Ann, I'll send those installation instructions to you off list. -- Caryn Caryn Navy Duxbury Systems Phone: (978) 692-3000, ext. 310 E-mail: caryn@xxxxxxxxxx Web: www.duxburysystems.com ----- Original Message ----- From: Steve Dresser To: duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, August 19, 2009 11:29 AM Subject: [duxuser] Re: jaws 10 and duxbury I also try Insert+Escape to refresh the screen, and when that doesn't help, Alt+Tab to switch between running tasks. Also, Windows+M to go to the desktop, which sometimes cleans up clutter from open windows. One of the things I try that I haven't seen listed yet, is to alt-f3 to turn the codes on and off a couple of times. Almost always fixes the problem. Betsy
