Thanks, I tried copying and pasting but get an error message saying that I can't use text that I have to use F5. If I use F5, I get codes like

[cts][taa] but how would I put the stop positions in? I know taa is for tabs on same line.

I thought I'd be able to copy the codes below as a group or set and edit them in the Add Styles dialog box. I am in the beginning and ending code section of the process. What am I doing wrong?

Cheers, Karen

Regardless as to whether you input the tabs you want to set for a
particular table manually or in a style, you automatically change
DBT's default tab stops.

Obviously, you would put the tab stop positions for your table in the
"Beginning Codes" edit field. And yes, you will need to include the
[cts] (clear tab stops code as the first code.

In the "end codes" edit field, type the following codes to reset DBT's
default tab stops, as follows:

[stb2:l:3][stb3:l:5][stb4:l:7][stb5:l:9][stb6:l:11[stb7:l:13][stb8:l:15]

If you have several tables in a file, you can create additional table
styles and base them on you original table style. You will obviously
have to give each table a separate name.
