thank You, How do I indicate MS Word as the file format. ----- Original Message ----- From: Robert Jaquiss To: duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, June 19, 2008 9:56 PM Subject: [duxuser] Re: Sending scanned material to Duxbury Hello Bertha: When I want to scan a document for use with Duxbury, I do the following: 1. Scan with K1000. 2. Read the document and make corrections for misscanned words. 3. Save the document using the Save-As selection in the file menu. I would typically use MSWord as the saved format. 4. Optionally, open the document in Word and do further editing. 5. Use Duxbury to open the Word file and proceed to translate and emboss. Note K-1000 does have an option to save in a brf format but I haven't had experience with this. It is certainly possible to skip step 4 if you don't have MSWord software. In my experience, I think it unlikely that you can just scan a document and emboss it without proofreading it. Hope this helps.
