Hi, Jennifer, You can translate a braille file into text using Duxbury but to read it using a PC without Duxbury you would have to save it as a .prf file. Backtranslating files can also cause errors. One of the best ways to read .dxb or .brf files is to use a braille display or buy a BrailleNote or VoiceNote. With any of these things, you could read braille files without translating them into text. One point of correction: you must use DBT to read any .dxb file; but any of the devices I mentioned will read .brf files. Terri, Amateur radio call sign KF6CA. Hello All: Is it possible to convert a Braille file to a Word file? If you download a book in Braille format can you read (using a screen reader) it or convert it into a txt or .doc using Duxbury? Thanks, Jennifer
