Further to my original message I think the reason why I could not get good word file from the DXP file was because it seems that the original DXB (or BRF as it was) may have been entered in direct braille and because I was then translating using UEB code I was running into some problems.

My word file for instance had capital N instead of "ation" and fullstops instead of "dd" etc. I have now sorted it out, thanks to all who offered suggestions both on and off list.

Hi, I hope someone can please help me.

I am using DBT10.6 and Microsoft Word.
I have a large BRF file. I need a portion of it in print as a microsoft word file.

I have opened DBT,
Have opened my BRF file which has opened into a DXB file.
Next I have cut and pasted the required paragraphs out of that file and into a new DXB file.

I then translated the new DXB file using CTRL-T and got a properly formatted DXP file.

I now need to save this in such a way that it can be read by Microsoft Word.

I have looked at the Save As options but am not sure what (if any) of these I should be using.

I have also tried to cut and paste the DXP file into a blank word file but the result requires considerable cleaning up and is not appropriate unless there is no other way.

any help will be appreciated- I'm certain there must be a more satisfactory way of doing this but I cannot work it out.

Regards and thanks

Christine
